We have the risk equation all wrong. I spend hours trying to correct this misunderstanding. We have pain as we age… that’s a given. We can be active and robust and have pain, or we can be sedentary and weak and have some pain. Besides… although entirely counterintuitive, osteoarthritis and other joint disorders progress more slowly in people who are fit and active. Why? Osteoarthritis is far more of a biological issue than a mechanical issue.
